Eric Clapton donated 100 of his guitars for a benefit auction
that raised over five million dollars for the Crossroads Centre
for substance-dependency treatment in Antigua. His 1974 Martin 000-28
fetched $178,000, while the legendary 1956 Fender Stratocaster Clapton
dubbed "Brownie" set a new record for guitar sales when the gavel
fell at $497,500.
Dolly Parton, Conway Twitty, and Johnny Bond are
the newest inductees into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
The world music band Ancient Future celebrates 20 years
of burning the time-continuum candle at both ends with a series
